OMAHA, NE — The most wide-open hiring event in the metro this month is not in Omaha proper. It is fifteen minutes south, at Highway 370 and Fort Crook Road, and it runs four hours on Thursday.

The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and Community hosts its Career Fair & Business Expo 2026 on Thursday, September 24, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bellevue Lied Activity Center, 2700 Arboretum Dr. One side of the building is a career fair. The other side is a business expo. Knowing which side is which is most of the strategy.

The chamber splits the Lied Activity Center down the middle. That is geography doing its work. Offutt Air Force Base sits a short drive down Fort Crook Road, and a large share of Bellevue's working population is active duty, recently separated, or married to someone who is.
