Bellevue Career Fair and Business Expo Sept. 24: One Side Hiring, One Side Expo

Published: September 20, 2026 | By LocalJobPage Team

OMAHA, NE — The most wide-open hiring event in the metro this month is not in Omaha proper. It is fifteen minutes south, at Highway 370 and Fort Crook Road, and it runs four hours on Thursday.

The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and Community hosts its Career Fair & Business Expo 2026 on Thursday, September 24, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bellevue Lied Activity Center, 2700 Arboretum Dr. One side of the building is a career fair. The other side is a business expo. Knowing which side is which is most of the strategy.

What the Chamber Is Putting Together

The chamber splits the Lied Activity Center down the middle. In its own listing it describes "offering one side of the facility as a career fair and one side as a business expo" and says it expects "a high attendance of military personnel." That is geography doing its work. Offutt Air Force Base sits a short drive down Fort Crook Road, and a large share of Bellevue's working population is active duty, recently separated, or married to someone who is.

Four partners are named on the chamber's event listing: Hillcrest Health & Living, LiveWell DressWell, Metropolitan Community College and GDIT. That is a useful preview of the room before any booth roster goes out. Senior care, a local workforce nonprofit, community college training, and a defense IT contractor with a long Offutt footprint.

⚠️ Read This Before You Drive Down

Half the room is not hiring. The business expo side exists so member companies can sell to other companies. Those tables are not recruiting. Walk the career fair side first and treat the expo half as a bonus lap.

No 2026 employer list has been published. No booth roster, no count. The 2025 edition drew more than 60 employers spanning police and fire, health care, defense contracting, banking, child care, clerical work and government. That is last year's result, not this year's promise.

No admission fee is listed for job seekers on the 2026 page, which prices exhibitor tables only. The 2025 fair was free with no registration. To confirm, the chamber's operations contact is operations@bellevuenebraska.com.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

  • Bring 15 to 20 printed resumes. A full career side burns through a stack faster than people expect.
  • Go before noon. Recruiters are sharpest in the first ninety minutes, and the lot off Arboretum Drive fills as the lunch crowd arrives.
  • Translate the military resume. Separating from Offutt, or a military spouse? Rewrite your bullets in civilian terms before Thursday. "Managed a $2M equipment account" lands. A career field code does not.
  • Ask two questions at every table: what shifts are open, and what the starting range is.

🔎 Where to Aim While You Wait

Thursday is one room on one day. The sectors most likely to be behind those Bellevue tables are hiring across Sarpy and Douglas counties right now.
